Tara Reid: “People Always Tell Me to Eat a Burger”

At the peak of her fame, Tara was often body shamed and had a botched surgery which increased the media attention surrounding her appearance. She is also often told she is too skinny and she admits people even tell her to eat burgers. She commented that she loves her figure and people need to just accept it:

“I feel great about my body. People always tell me to eat a burger — I love burgers! If I were to gain 10 pounds, I’d be asked why I got fat. I’m thin — and I’m good with that. People need to stop with the body shaming! I won’t let what anyone says stop me from enjoying my life.”

Tara is known for being a party girl and her wild behaviour has made some headlines but she says that the moment she steps on set she is only professional and she has also never been in trouble with the law because of the way she behaves herself so she doesn’t see the problem:

“I like to have fun when I’m not working. But I’m professional while I’m at work, and I’ve never been in trouble or arrested, so I don’t deserve it!  I truly feel I need to constantly prove myself in this business. I’ve done 46 movies, and it’s still tough to get roles when you’re misunderstood and judged,” she says of her misconstrued reputation.”

These days she says she has a relaxed approach to life:

“I’ve learned to not take things too seriously, and that not everyone is going to love you.”
